Advocates for Our Community
Estes believes in giving back to the community it serves.
Each year, the list of volunteer projects increases to include more projects and organizations for a greater involvement by Estes employees. We feel that such outreach is important, not only to the development of the surrounding community, but to the enhancement of the individuals we employ.
Estes Construction is committed to support our community and organizations that share our passion. We sponsor several community projects and events, provide monetary donations, and encourage our employees to actively get involved in non-profit organizations, charitable programs and other service projects.
The following represents highlights from recent years:
"The Scott County Family YMCA awarded Estes Construction the 'Community Partnership Award' at our annual dinner. We did this because Estes is a company that is supportive of not only our YMCA, but their entire community. Their gifts of time, talent, and treasure have touched many Quad City groups and organizations. This company has grown significantly in the past fifteen years. However, their community-minded staff continues to provide time, expertise, and financial support. Their far-reaching involvement in our community is truly helping thousands of youth and families."

Estes Construction supports
Putnam Museum/IMAX Theatre through our Business Membership program, and Lori Estes has been past president of the Putnam board. Estes' support ensures that we will have the opportunity to enjoy the educational interactive exhibits that only the Putnam can provide to our community.
Estes knows about its responsibility for our children and supports many organizations to provide better education and future perspectives for kids:
Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States. For more than a century, they have been developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people.
"Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley is proud to count Estes Construction as a BIG Company in our efforts to help kids in our community aspire for success. Estes Construction believes that they do much more than just construct and manage building projects. Their culture encourages their employees to become engage in building a community through volunteering as mentors, board members, and community advocates for kids. Estes displays leadership that inspires others to roll up their sleeves and get involved!"
Jay Justin, Big Brothers Big Sisters
A group of Estes employees joined Skip-A-Long Daycare as "Business Buddies" last year. As a part of this program, four Estes volunteers spent the morning of August 21st at the Niabi Zoo with the Skip-A-Long kids.
Estes continues to expand our Business Buddy relationship with
Skip-A-Long. Other activities include a field trip to the Wapsi Pumpkin Patch and a Christmas get-together.
"I can always count on Estes. Sounds simple, but that means everything to our business where volunteers and tight budgets require collaborative efforts. The team at Estes embrace the spirit of integrity, reliability and teamwork. Consistently a great result that we're all proud of."
Laurie Walker, Skip-A-Long
